Job description

Apex Microtechnology is hiring a Manufacturing Operator. This is an entry-level position that will require the candidate to learn multiple areas of manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have great attention to detail, a high level of drive, and a willingness to learn new processes and must be able to work well with others in a group environment.


Current opportunities: 

  • 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday) 3:20pm - 1:50am (must be able to train on the 1st shift schedule for up to 3 months)

Pay details:

This is an entry-level position with a starting pay of $16.50 per hour.

2nd shift receives a 9% shift differential on top of the base pay.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment

  • Inspect parts under a microscope

  • Obtain qualifications for multiple areas and procedures

  • Complete paperwork and computer information as requested

  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Willing to learn new objectives and methods

  • Willing and able to work overtime when scheduled

  • Ability to work with small, delicate parts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronics manufacturing 

  • Microscope experience

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift

  •  Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time 

  •   Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle small, delicate components (including use of tweezers and other fine instruments)

  •  Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time

  •   Frequent stooping, bending, and reaching throughout the shift

  •   Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail during repetitive tasks

  •  Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to machinery, noise, and controlled cleanroom conditions
